Terms of Service
Because it is such an important contract between us and our users, we have tried to make it as clear as possible.
1. General
Updated on March 19, 2023
Elemedu.com is an online platform that provides educators with the ability to create their own profiles, where they can share both their resumes and their educational materials and notes. These services are provided to registered users of the platform, while non-registered users can only search for the content shared by registered users (the provision of services to registered and non-registered users is clarified below). The main objectives of the platform are, on the one hand, the easy creation of a professional profile for educators (with the aim of finding employment) and, on the other hand, the easy search for educational materials.
Elemedu.com does not provide counseling or educational services, but it showcases the profiles of educators, shares educational material from educators, and advertises organizations related to education. Elemedu.com does not participate in the creation and/or publication of educational material, nor is it involved in communication between users. Elemedu.com bears no responsibility for the above or for the behavior of its users. The use of elemedu.com's services is the sole responsibility of the users themselves.
The following Terms of Use regulate the use and operation of the website located at the electronic address https://elemedu.com, hereinafter referred to as the "Platform." If you intend to use information displayed on our platform, please read these Terms of Use first. Note that visiting or using this Platform implies that you accept these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with them, please disconnect and do not use this Platform and its services.
Acceptance of these terms of use is deemed to occur upon the entry and navigation of the visitor/user/member on the Platform. This acceptance constitutes explicit, unconditional, and irrevocable agreement to comply with these terms. In the event of a disagreement by the visitor/user/member with any of the terms, they are obliged to discontinue and avoid browsing the Platform, notifying the administrator if they so desire.
The Platform reserves the right to modify the terms of use at any time and without justification, and amendments are considered only if they are formulated in writing and incorporated into this text. Therefore, it is recommended that visitors/users/members periodically check the content of these terms. In the event of total or partial invalidity or unenforceability of individual terms, the validity of the remainder of the terms is not affected. Any gap that may arise in the agreement between the website and the visitor/user/member due to an invalid term will be filled with new or modified terms that best serve the legal purpose of the respective invalid term. The above applies in any case and for any issues not expressly regulated within the text of the terms of use. Furthermore, the Platform reserves the right to terminate or modify the platform or any of its features or services at any time, without justification and without necessarily notifying users.
In case users need clarification or additional information regarding these terms of use, they can contact the administrators at info@elemedu.com. However, any information provided to users through this communication in no way replaces these terms of use.
2. Purpose of the Platform and its Usage
The main purpose of the platform is to facilitate the easy sharing of educational materials for all levels of education. Through this platform, educators will have the opportunity to create a comprehensive professional profile that includes their resume (education, professional experience, publications in scientific journals, personal website, etc.) as well as their educational materials.
A prerequisite for using the above services is the registration of educators on the platform. It is worth noting that the information published on the platform will be visible to non-registered users as well. Non-registered platform users will be able to view the content shared by registered users and "download" the educational materials of registered users, but they will not have access to any other platform services.
All users are required to comply with the platform's terms of use. Platform users are solely responsible for the information published on their profiles.
User Registration Process
During the registration of a user on the platform, the following information is requested: full name, username, email address, and password. After registering, you will be asked to go to the login page, where you will enter the requested information to log in to your account created on elemedu.com.
After registration, each educator will have the opportunity to edit their profile, add personal information and contact details, create their job profile, format their resume, and upload files with educational materials and notes.
Account Deactivation
In the event that a registered user wishes to delete their account on the platform for any reason, they have the option to do so themselves by clicking on the appropriate page in their profile settings. The user's account and personal data will be deleted directly. The platform only retains the following information: username, login history, and payment history. The platform does not have access to and therefore does not retain billing information. The platform is not responsible for any data that may be automatically collected by search engines, and each user must take the necessary steps to delete their data from these sources themselves.
Furthermore, the platform administrators reserve the right to delete an account or suspend its operation (after notifying the user) following a report of the user's profile or content by other users, if they deem it necessary. The subscription fee for the platform is non-refundable in the event of account deletion.
